“Habituation devours works…clothes…furniture, one’s wife, and the fear of war. ‘If the whole complex lives of many people go on unconsciously, then such lives are as if they had never been.’ ; and art exists, so that one may recover the sensations of life; it exists to make one feel things; to make the stone, stony. The purpose of art is to impart the sensation of things as they are perceived and not as they are known. The technique of art is to make objects ‘unfamiliar,’ to make forms difficult, to increase the difficulty and length of perception…because the process of perception is an aesthetic end in itself, and it must be prolonged.” – Victor Shklovsky (1917)
It’s my pleasure to invite you experience our fourth, quarterly issue of our boutique publication, Satiety Paper: The Spring Fling. The journey has been an exciting and inspiring one; discovering brilliant new talents to bring you, and continuously growing up with our past contributors along side. Satiety Paper, which aimed to bring class, artistry and delicious sensuality to our audience, since the beginning…is now embarking on the final release of our first year. With the summer, new changes to our style, categories and format will begin to blossom. Subscriptions will go on sale at the end of this issue, and the following issue will mark our first, subscription only, collection. As the final public issue, The spring fling is bursting with beauty, and juicier than ever! We will be bringing back some of your favorite contributors and adding new members to our team, to support the upcoming subscription platform which will launch in summer.
As we roll out the first tastes of this incredible addition, it is an honor to welcome back Lucas Passmore, shooting for our cover editorial; with earth shattering new temptress, Brianna Stone as the muse. Please stay tuned for the publication of the complete story, following the debut of the issue cover. It will be the first, in an extensive line of hypnotizing creation. As always, enjoy!
