Photographer Thomas Babeau is new on The Libertine’s radar, and gaining fast! His timeless images embrace a clean composition that marries the best aspects of modern culture and classic styling. Featuring models Melodie Monrose and Axel Serine as the cutting edge couple to watch, ‘Ex Fan Des Sixties’ is an urban editorial with autumn flavor. The looks, composed by stylist Mariétou Guèye Babeau, are crisp and current, complimenting the high contrast of warmer and darker grooming, applied by artists Benoit Guinot and Lorandy. Our models’ soft featured looks play dramatically off of the staunch lines and cityscapes that characterize the story. From beginning to end, the editorial reads as a ‘what to wear now’ catalog for fall. Enjoy!
Returning to The Libertine for the Fall Flight, photographer George Stratigis lensed a new series entitled ‘Triumph Of A Heart’; featuring daisy-fresh Slavic beauty, Olga Machikhina. The editorial presents an honest, unpretentious collection of portraits, showcasing Olga’s sweet energy and ease in front of the camera. Shot against a retiring black backdrop, the fair, lanky head-turner demonstrates that she’s more than got what it takes to mesmerize readers. With eyes like two dusky bottomless ravines, and a thick mane of streaming hair, Olga is not only breath taking, but possesses endless versatility as well. Her natural guile was emphasized by beauty expert Savina Hagisava, who has a knack for creating looks that appear as immaculate as a bare face. The Libertine has the exclusive privilege of debuting this promising new talent; and looks forward to following her career as it soars steadily higher. Enjoy!
The Libertine has the tremendous pleasure of collaborating again with master photographer, Adolfo Valente on a new sensual masterpiece entitled ‘Comely, Tender’. The glowing and ethereal editorial depicts delicate Italian beauty, Daiana Di Finizio in the sweet bloom of life. Hazy, shadowed rooms and golden morning rays cast intrigue and subtle dreaminess to the portraiture. Her gaze echos throughout the series and lingers with you after. Reminiscent of the iconic beauty of Ali MacGraw, Daiana is purely enchanting. This is another memorable series, and a perfect compliment to our already heavy-hitting Fall Flight series!
It’s very exciting for us that these beautiful images will also be featured QG Italia.com; as they will be doing a spotlight on the artist, along with an interview, and showcasing some more of his intoxicating work. Enjoy!
Italian artisanal finesse takes it’s inspiration from photographer Marco Michieletto; who returns to The Libertine for yet another beautiful feature in our Fall Flight series. His latest editorial, entitled ‘Little Miss Sunshine’, features flaxen-haired, international sensation Margot Sunshine. Demure and delicate, Margot exposes a vulnerable innocence that seems to disarm, while neutralizing the exploitative, hyper-sexualized nature of nudity in our modern culture. Her sweet charisma…in all it’s glory…represents the sacred essence of the feminine form in an idyllic world where beauty is still sanctified. The editorial pays tribute to the light of the young girl that shines out through the eyes of every woman; tender, precious. Marco was able to capture in Margot, a quintessential example of this elusive purity; most often seen, only when all the walls come down. Enjoy!
‘Velvet Underground’ is a sensual masterpiece that comes to you from the recess of brilliant mind, Pino Leone. Silky smooth skin, voluptuous curves and tumbles of cascading hair, flow together like water to create dynamic movement throughout the images. Perhaps the most dramatic and striking quality of the editorial, is the grace and frank confidence with which the muse intimates the sacred splendor of her beauty. Model Margherita Cesarano stars as the captivating temptress, exploring the delicious sensations provided by embracing the freedom of her own skin. Her natural allure was amplified by makeup artist Giordana Hassan; who chose to simply underline the sumptuousness that already existed, rather than cover it up with heavy styling…
Set against the backdrop of a clean white studio, the editorial is truly an homage to the subtle power of feminine beauty. As the newest installment in The Libertine’s Fall Flight series, ‘Velvet Underground’ represents both the polished standard of mastery and the boundless scope of creativity that’s become obligate for all of our publications. Enjoy!
Distinctive new face, Julia Veilex shoots ’Seeds Of Change’ with photographer Amelia J. Dowd; to add to the Libertine’s Fall Flight collection. Julia’s beauty is so pure…youthful, that beauty expert, Maree Spagnol, kept her looks simple, clean and fresh. Amelia styled the shoot herself, with a combination of vintage pieces and labels such as Topshop and Asos. The editorial showcases Julia’s budding potential and versatility; in addition to the transparent sincerity that is so characteristic of Amelia’s work. We are pleased to participate in the collaboration of such promising and unique new creatives. Enjoy!
For the third addition to our Fall Flight series, The Libertine has the pleasure of bringing you a classic autumn editorial, featuring intoxicating and exotic model, Lise Olsen. Lise creates an air of ease and sophistication in her collaboration with Italian photographer, Federica Simoni. Styled by the meticulous Elisa Sedoni, Lise dons ensembles by labels Misuraca, Cristina Miraldi, Ricostru, Chiara Baschieri and Persy Jewels. She enjoys a late afternoon stroll around sprawling country grounds; lingering occasionally to ‘smell the roses’. Each and every depiction of the enchantress, radiates cool class, underlined by modern style. Lise’s flawless look was created by beauty guru, Ilaria Borgioli to enhance the naturally striking nature of her unusual beauty. The entire team contributed grade A artistry, and The Libertine couldn’t be happier than to include the unforgettable story in our latest collection. Enjoy!
As crisp as the cooling breeze that signals the first signs of the coming autumn, ‘Til The Sun Turns Black’ is a refreshing breath of rapidly fleeting, Indian summer. This stunning editorial features the unforgettable Anna Carradice French; who posed in sensual, body-hugging black lace from her own closet, and a seasonally transitional hat from Withlovebetty by Gemma Aspland. Afternoon moments with the dynamic new comer, were distilled in time by the discerning lens of Libertine veteran: Jason Mark Harris. Jason cast Anna himself, and thoroughly flatters her dramatic beauty; as she captivates the reader with natural vibrancy and vitality. The Libertine is releasing this latest collaboration as the second installment in our exclusive Fall Flight series. Jason’s work has always been of the highest quality, and this series is no exception. Enjoy!
As The Libertine transitions into the amber cast afternoons of autumn, we enthusiastically unveil the highly anticipated collection of stories that compose our second exclusive series here on The Zine: The Fall Flight. For the first installment in the series, The Libertine is honored to bring you another collaboration with one of our favorite lens masters, Akila Berjaoui.
Since foundation of The Libertine in 2009, Akila‘s work has been a constant source of inspiration and motivation in developing our own publication! The freedom, feminine idolatry and sensual revelry communicated through out her work, embodies our sybaritic philosophy here at The Libertine.
For our latest story, ‘Heartbreak Hotel’, Akila‘s Casting Director, Simone Hush, designated Libertine favorite, Jessica Sikosek, to portray the jilted bride that finds respite for her broken heart on the glistening beaches of the Italian Riviera. Adorned in edgy yet feminine looks created by stylist Amy Bannerman, Jess is every bit the ‘jilted bride’ turned ‘blissed out babe on the rebound’. Amy’s sultry vision was tangibly enhanced by the accompanying hair/beauty looks; expertly envisioned and executed by beauty pro, Helena Lyons. For the finishing touches on the editorial, the fabulous Madeline Carroll designed the illustrations for our cover; fierce and fresh!
As she always does, Akila formed a playful bond of friendship with her subject; allowing a natural emergence of gaiety and beauty throughout the vivid images. It is the youthful aura and unapologetic sass to Akila‘s work, that has us so enchanted with her here at The Libertine. She somehow, never fails to see the extraordinary in the quotidian…and for that Ms. Berjaoui has our unending admiration and adulation.
Without further adieu, The Libertine kicks off our second exclusive online edition: The Fall Flight. Enjoy!
The libertine is thrilled to bring you another stunning story from seasoned pro, Remi Guenaire. His latest editorial, for the final chapter of our Summer Session, stars flaxen-haired stunner, Dace Burkevica. Her elegant looks we’re crafted by all star beauty team, makeup artist Cyril Laineand hair stylist Camille Siguret. Dace portrays the modern ‘lady of leisure’ against the backdrop of extravagant (if not a touch sterile) mansion life. Dressed up and down in luxurious black pieces by designer Harry Halim, Dace haunts echoing rooms and marble halls with her melancholy air of listless beauty. Like an elegant statue that is eternally admired but never touched, a kept woman enjoys the best that money can buy, but finds that she still yearns for something more profound…and so we give you: ‘The Echo of Opulence’. Enjoy!
