Saged Italian photographer, Marco Michieletto returns to The Libertine for our Spring Fling series, with a gorgeous new story entitled ‘Gone’. The editorial marries timeless photography with elegantly artistic nudity, to portray the sacredness of a young woman’s private moments lost in thought. Entrancing beauty, Elena Fortina, embodies the beguiled muse with effortless grace. The spectator is invited to share in this peaceful musing, arrested in time, between two artists and the ether. Enjoy!
For our second fashion story from L.A. photographer Lucas Passmore, the team set out on an exhibition into the untamed Californian wilderness; in pursuit of love, happiness and the setting sun. This spirited jaunt around the countryside perfectly encapsulates the fresh, vernal aire of spring that we are heartily huffing over here at The Libertine! Models Angelina Bordeaux, Tom Sheahan and Austin Victoria effortlessly embody the carefree, bohemian love-children of the open road. Dressed in generous and contrasting layers, selected by stylist Sean Panella, our models embrace their shared journey as an opportunity to create memories and lasting beauty. It’s our pleasure to share the gorgeous series with you, as part of our latest collection. Enjoy!
Enchanting french sprite, Mathilde Frachon, joins forces with Libertine All-star, Akila Berjaoui, to create a sleepy and sultry story of disarming feminine vulnerability. Mathilde (who has appeared in countless international publications such as Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, Interview Magazine and more) has a way of transporting audiences with the depth of her gaze and the sweet, childlike freshness to her beauty. Complimented effortlessly by Akila’s candid style, Mathilde’s sparkling vivacity emanates through each frame. Stylist Elle Packham selected flirty, modern pieces to compliment the relaxed hair and beauty looks created by Rae Boriboun. The series is the second addition to our Spring Fling compilation…and kicks off our new season at The Libertine with fervent excitement for the inevitable industry developments to come this spring. Enjoy!
It is an honor to introduce a striking new editorial by renowned photographer Anna Daki. The story ‘Shape’ presents a clean, modern innovation in studio photography; that elegantly showcases the shifting architecture and soft geography of the human body. As a veteran of the lens, Anna (who has previously published work in Harper’s Bazaar, Elle Germany, Flair Magazine and more) intuitively perceives every miniscule shift in her models demeanor, and imparts them beautifully to the reader. The subject, exotic beauty: Milena, is a breath-taking, artistic study in anatomy. The series creates a gorgeous and polarizing contrasts of positive and negative space with each interpretation of her form. Makeup artist, Henrike Christians, applied the impeccable finishing touches, with simple, minimalist grooming; boasts the allure of the model’s bare beauty. Flawless. Enjoy!
From within the shadows of a dusky room, a ray of light traces the cool silhouette of a feminine form. The gleam reverberates against supple silks and satins, further illuminating a palette of deep, rich hues and contrasts. The series, entitled ‘Close’, was brilliantly executed by past Libertine contributor Emanuele Cassina. This sensuous editorial focalizes on bare bronzed skin and the exquisite intricacy of the female body. As an Italian artist, Emanuele has an idyllic regard for the sacred nature of sensuality. For this series, she cast breath-taking muse Giuvi Palazzi to portray a diverse landscape of nude skin and shifting shapes. From beginning to end, this editorial makes good on the promise of it’s title….leaving the reader with bated breath, even after the last image. Enjoy!
Hypnotizing beauties Ugnė Sabalytė and Amalie Loendal tear it up in some very creative denim ensembles, created by Stylist Waina Chancy for our latest editorial ‘Still Torn Up About It’. The story is a smokin’ combination of classic and edgy. That balance can be very hard to strike, but the lens master, Tawfick Espriella, managed to manifest quite an visually pleasing reality! The clean studio environment is a flattering palette for these two youthful beauties to shine. Their warm skin glows against the bright white and brilliant blues. Makeup artist Lauren Massaro worked with the girls to craft care free grooming that communicates ‘natural stunner’ with effortless purity! The Libertine has the pleasure of releasing this fierce series as one of the last few in our fabulous Fall Flight series. The story was both shot on film and captured digitally, and thus, will be releases in a two part series. Distinct and ingenius, both…Enjoy!
Striking, androgynous model Courtney McCullough emanates aloof appeal for the discerning lens of Libertine veteran Cameron Davis. This moody portraiture combines subtle styling and minimalist wardrobe with the artistic vision of art director Charlie Black to actualize ‘Tomboy Ballad’; the latest addition to our Fall Flight series. Cameron has an eye for evocative imagery and unpretentious expression. Preferring to air on the edgier side of fashion, Cameron’s images skimp on ‘pretty’, to pack a more powerful punch. He has found a true creative complement in Courtney; whose hypnotic gaze presents more than enough intrigue to capture the readers’ curiosity…and keep it. Enjoy!
This exquisite editorial, ‘Forgotten Ancestors’, was composed exclusively for The Libertine, as a collaboration between visionary photographer Dusan Jaukovic and couture designer Jelena Malesevic (for her personal line: Morfium Couture). The shots are purely transcendental, and model Li Xiao Xing becomes every bit the beautiful embodiment of the designs. Bold and alluring designs complement Li’s finely sculpted features and the natural beauty of one of the longest enduring sanctuaries inhabited by the Lenape people before colonization. There is a subtle mysticism to the surroundings, that is echoed in both Jelena’s creations and Li’s powerful aura. Though this story is both light and fresh, reminiscent of the longer days of summer, it felt like a perfect balancing element for our fall flight series. Not to mention, that the images are breath-taking. Enjoy!
The Libertine has the tremendous pleasure of collaborating again with master photographer, Adolfo Valente on a new sensual masterpiece entitled ‘Comely, Tender’. The glowing and ethereal editorial depicts delicate Italian beauty, Daiana Di Finizio in the sweet bloom of life. Hazy, shadowed rooms and golden morning rays cast intrigue and subtle dreaminess to the portraiture. Her gaze echos throughout the series and lingers with you after. Reminiscent of the iconic beauty of Ali MacGraw, Daiana is purely enchanting. This is another memorable series, and a perfect compliment to our already heavy-hitting Fall Flight series!
It’s very exciting for us that these beautiful images will also be featured QG Italia.com; as they will be doing a spotlight on the artist, along with an interview, and showcasing some more of his intoxicating work. Enjoy!
‘Velvet Underground’ is a sensual masterpiece that comes to you from the recess of brilliant mind, Pino Leone. Silky smooth skin, voluptuous curves and tumbles of cascading hair, flow together like water to create dynamic movement throughout the images. Perhaps the most dramatic and striking quality of the editorial, is the grace and frank confidence with which the muse intimates the sacred splendor of her beauty. Model Margherita Cesarano stars as the captivating temptress, exploring the delicious sensations provided by embracing the freedom of her own skin. Her natural allure was amplified by makeup artist Giordana Hassan; who chose to simply underline the sumptuousness that already existed, rather than cover it up with heavy styling…
Set against the backdrop of a clean white studio, the editorial is truly an homage to the subtle power of feminine beauty. As the newest installment in The Libertine’s Fall Flight series, ‘Velvet Underground’ represents both the polished standard of mastery and the boundless scope of creativity that’s become obligate for all of our publications. Enjoy!
