This post is an ode to growing up in the country with my sister. The animals, the wood chopping, the voyages through the forest to the creek….Ohhhh, the romance of it all!

Medea Of The Argonauts

To me, this shoot transmits that fiery sensuality possessed by the women in Greek mythology. I think there is just something about this combination of airy white fabrics and black embellishments glazed with unfinished gold…draped over bronzed skin. Between that and the scorching heat of a summer sunset over the Aegean (I’m assuming. Ha), wildly dusty, untamed hair and well, goats…I for one am feeling transported back to the faded pages of Homer.Greek enchantress much?! I think so!

David Hamilton Demoiselles

Long famed as a controversial figure in the photography community…David Hamilton is the master of the soft focus. His images capture the subtle sensuality of women in their everyday lives. While some of his work may push the envelope according to fashion standards of the 1990’s, today their racy-ness pales in comparison to the bodies of work of, say Tom Ford or Terry Richardson. I think you all know how I feel about nudity (whatever ya got…shake whatcha got) but however you may feel about these, they have greatly influenced modern fashion expression, and are certainly art in their own right…Enjoy!!!
